Bali instagram Spots – Uluwatu

Nyang Nyang beach
This secluded white sand beach is beautiful in its own right, but add a cool shipwreck washed up on the beach and you have a super Instagrammable place in Bali. The beach is located a 15-minute trek down the side of the cliffside through the jungle, but it’s so worth the effort. Because it’s quite remote, the beach is often empty, so you get the place to yourself. Be careful when climbing the shipwreck, as it has continued to erode.

The cliff has incredible views of the Indian Ocean and looks even more spectacular due to the crashing waves and large rocks at the base.

Le Cliff Beachfront Suites
Perched on the side of rocky Uluwatu cliff, with beautiful water just below, is Le Cliff. Stay here for a night and get a couple of great photos of the hanging net, balcony, and beach. Just the sound of the waves is quite addictive.

Balangan Beach Viewpoint
The beach is located in Jimbaran, a 15-minute drive North of Uluwatu, but it is still considered one of the best beaches on the peninsula. The beach itself is epic in its own right, but if you are just looking for an Instagram photo opportunity, head to the beach’s viewpoint.

There is usually a local at the beach selling simple snacks and beverages.

The Korowai Bali
Reminiscent of a Costa Rican eco-resort, the Korowai is located nestled above a private beach into the heavily jungled cliffside. The property comes with 3 individual bungalows suspended above the cliff with stilts and picture-perfect bridges connecting them.

La Cabane Bali
La Cabane is a property with 6 authentic wood bungalows surrounded by palm trees, but the real showstopper here is the pool. The white-washed infinity pool is centre stage and has great far-off views of the western coastline. The sunsets here are lovely.
But if you are looking for Instagrammable Bali spots, there are a few options here. Their breakfast is served on a long wooden table in front of the pool, which makes for a great photo. They also have a cute swing and you can request a flower bath be made up for you at an extra charge.

Yellow Bridge – Nusa Ceningan
The picturesque yellow bridge connects the islands of Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Lembongan and can be driven over by a scooter. Watch the traffic and when there is a break go swiftly take a photo of the beautiful structure above.

Bali instagram Spots – Beyond

Gili Meno Island
Gili Meno Island is technically located off the coast of Lombok but is a frequent vacation spot for Balinese ex-pats and tourists alike. Gili Meno is the smallest of the three main islands and is designated the ‘couples’ island. Civilization here is sparse but there are quite a few Instagrammable spots if you grab a bicycle and tour around the island.

Gili Air Island
Gili Air Island is a trendy island, where design lovers and foodies go to spend the weekend. The villas and cafes here are picturesque and there a couple of swings around the shoreland that are worth seeking out.

Essentials for any Bali Trip
With any trip, it’s always a good idea to prepare and bring a few items that will make your experience better. Here are my recommendations:
DAY PACK | I travel with my WANDRD backpack, it comes with a compartment for your camera and tons of space for all your other goodies
MIRRORLESS CAMERA | If you want to invest in something other than your camera phone (the newest phones have great cameras by the way), I purchased the Sony A7iii with a Sigma 24-70mm 2.8 lens. Couldn’t be happier.
WATERPROOF SHOES | I went with a pair of trekking sandals from Teva, they are pretty multifunctional in my opinion. But a classic water shoe does the trick too.
MICROFIBER TOWEL | For all of the epic beaches and waterfalls in Bali make sure to bring a microfiber towel to dry off afterwards.
REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE | Let’s help save our planet from plastic pollution and carry around a reusable water bottle instead. I love my Swell water bottle as it stays cold for 24 hours and is lightweight. A LARQ water bottle would also fit the bill and has water purifying technology built right in.
CAMERA WIPES | This is so important! Don’t leave your hotel without it. I went through quite a few wipes trying to keep the mist from the waterfall off my lens

Bali is so beautiful 😍 Could I please ask which number you stayed in at the Bali beach glamping resort? It looks so gorgeous! Would love to book the same one x
Hi Sharon,
It was such a nice experience staying at Bali Beach Glamping, you’ll love it! I stayed in unit 32 which was a great location and just a 30-second walk to the beach. Don’t forget to explore the back of the property to see the swing and hammock overlooking the rice fields.
Happy to answer any other questions you have about Bali, it’s my absolute favourite place on earth.
Have a great trip!
